ABOUT MIKE ROSS Mike Ross is a CEO, entrepreneur and coach with over 25 years experience in the residential/commercial construction industries. Most recently, Mr. Ross launched Construction Business Development, LLC, In 1985, Mr. Ross established his residential/commercial construction company and has led that business through a turnaround, repositioning, and growth transitions. He is a leader in residential construction having been nominated six times as Qualified Remodeling Magazines “Top 500” national companies. In 1990, he was nominated for the “Fast Track 50” award as the owner of one of the fastest growing companies in his region. Over the years, Mr. Ross has emerged as an innovator of new ideas for design and service in the construction industry. For over 28 years, Mr. Ross reached many personal milestones in sports as a player, coach and executive. In 2005, Mr. Ross developed and managed a strategic plan to advance The Ohio Aviators professional ABA basketball franchise. His mission was promoting revenue, profitability and growth of the organization. As general manager of The Ohio Aviators, Mr. Ross developed and implemented a marketing plan, oversaw team operations and managed the operational and fiscal activities of the team including staffing, budgets and financial goals. A coach on many levels, he has guided teams to three national titles and numerous state and regional championships. Solid experience and skill in recruiting players, interfacing with families, and gaining commitment, Mr. Ross brings teamwork, enthusiasm and the ability to develop a winning culture in any organization. Mr. Ross graduated from Kent State University with a B.S. degree in Mathematics. For the next 5 years he worked as a teacher/coach on the high school level. Mr. Ross was voted “Teacher of the Year” by students at St. Francis DeSales High School. During his high school coaching career, Mr. Ross and his staff were responsible for the development of over 30 players contributing on the college level. It was at this time, during the summer months coaching baseball and working basketball/football camps, Mr. Ross started his residential construction company. Mr. Ross is actively involved in community and industry organizations and serves as a mentor and coach to other business owners, executives and students. He is a member of Rotary International, NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industries), ASID Industry Partner and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. |
